TAIZE
Prayer in the spirit of the Taizé Community is a meditative form of common prayer. Gathered in the presence of Christ we sing uncomplicated, repetitive songs, uncluttered by too many words, allowing the mystery of God to become tangible through the beauty of simplicity. A few words sung over and over again reinforce the meditative quality of prayer. These songs of prayer express a basic reality of faith that can quickly be grasped by our intellect and, in turn, can gradually penetrate the whole being. We offer Taizé Prayer on one or two Sundays in Advent and Lent, after the 5:00pm Mass.
Advent 2012 Taizé: Sunday, December 9, at 6:15pm in the church.
Lent 2013 Taizé: Sunday, February 24, at 6:15pm in the church.

MORNING PRAYER
Praying Morning Prayer during the Triduum allows us the space to reflect more fully on the Paschal Mystery. The Liturgy of the Hours is an ancient tradition in the Church, where the songs of King David, the psalms, are the focal point. As the words of the psalmist become our own words and prayers, we are brought more fully into the presence of the suffering, passion, and resurrection of Christ. Morning prayer is offered during the Triduum in Holy Week.
