The 2nd Annual Saint Nick Six 6k Run and 3k walk was hosted at Saint Joseph Catholic Church at 10:00am on Saturday, December 4th. A crowd of over 150 runners and walkers gathered in the festive falling snow to run & walk in support of Saint Joseph Grade School, which is a vital ministry of our parish. The race began with the ringing of the church bells on North Hill Street, in front of Saint Joseph Catholic Church in South Bend. The course followed the East Bank Trail north toward Holy Cross College and looped back to Saint Joseph Church, where participants relaxed with hot cocoa and Christmas Cookies. Professional chip timing was used on-site, and participants took home a tote bag and Tech shirt. In the spirit of the season, we also held a collection for gently used running shoes to be donated to the Center for the Homeless.
