The St. Joseph Ministry of Mothers (MOMs) Group is a new ministry sponsored by the Community Life Commission.  Our gatherings are designed to engage mothers in discussing a variety of topics including our faith and spirituality, marriage, parenting and our overall health and well being. 

 

Our MOMs Group meets the second Tuesday of each month (September through May) from 9:30 am to 11:00 am in the dining room of the St. Joseph Parish Center.  Child care is provided during these gatherings for a small fee ($3 for one child, $5 for more than one).  All are welcome!

• Tuesday September  8^th, 2009:  9:30 - 11:00 am, Parish Center Dining Room 

Welcome Reception: Join us for coffee and treats us as we catch up on our summers and greet new moms.

 

• Tuesday October 13^th, 2009: 9:30 - 11:00 am, Parish Center Dining Room 

Parishioner MJ Murray-Vachon, LCSW, will share ideas on how to raise morally responsible children and other parenting issues.

 

• October Hayride or Apple Picking with the Kids (Date TBA)

 

• Tuesday November 10^th, 2009:  9:30 - 11:00 am, Parish Center Dining Room

Join us for a discussion of a book we’ll select together at an earlier gathering. 

 

• November  18^th, 2009 6:30 pm, Parish Center Dining Room: Thanksgiving Harvest Meal

Share in an evening of fellowship with other moms.  We'll provide the main dish and ask you to bring a small side dish to share with the group.  RSVP to Sarah Cullinan at sbcullinan@yahoo.com.  Please note there is no child care available for this event.

 

• Tuesday December 8^th, 2009: 9:30 - 11:00 am, Parish Center Dining Room:

We’ll discuss ideas and provide family friendly activities for how to celebrate Advent, Los Posadas and Christmas.
